Northern College of Science and Technology follows the Ghana Education Service curriculum for Junior High School, offering Mathematics, English, Science, Social Studies, ICT, French, Dagbani, RME, PE, and Basic Technology & Design.

Skills & Entrepreneurial Training

Students gain practical experience through hands-on training in entrepreneurship, agriculture, smock weaving, and community service, helping them develop valuable life and career skills.

A Decade's Achievements

Our Track Record

In the past decade, Northern College of Science and Technology has provided tangible hope to many students and parents through the provision of lifelong learning and excellent academic performances at external examinations organized by the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).

2016

Excel in BECE

The first batch of students sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in 2016, and all 16 students presented had distinctions — every one achieving a single-digit aggregate between 6 and 9, representing 100% distinctions.

2018 – 2021

Academic Achievement

Between 2018 and 2021, the school presented 154 students for the BECE, out of which 143 had distinctions — representing 93% distinctions.

Integrity

The school continued its streak of impressive performances, with all 37 candidates achieving single-digit aggregates, showcasing the school's exceptional teaching and learning standards.

7As College of Science and Technology, now Northern College of Science and Technology, is an educational institution born as a community-initiated, private-led intervention to address specific human resource needs in the Health, Science, and Technology sphere within the Eastern Corridors region and Ghana as a whole.

Northern College of Science and Technology holds the view that science and technology is an indispensable tool in harnessing the resources of nature for sustainable development and creating an environment in which human beings can survive and realize their potential. Thus, the human person has the moral obligation to creatively improve the environment. This can be achieved through a well-conceptualized educational, scientific and technological package through which every human being must rightfully experience and acquire the tools to facilitate this mission.
